News of the day-

I've been adding scores to the store page- now there are 4 big band charts, plus vocal, piano and chamber music.  As I add more scores I will organize into more specific catagorioes.  A work in progress!

I have just finished mastering a recording of my “Three Dances for Four Hands” which I recorded with Tim Harrison at Oktaven Studio. You can find selected tracks on my Soundcloud page.

Five Pentanonic Studies for Vibraphone and Guitar was composed for the father/son duo of David and JP Moreno. Here is a video of them playing Study #1. 

 
I’ve composed a new piece for my Blue Inventions Trio; a song cycle for children’s chorus set to translations of Chinese poems by Kenneth Rexroth;music for piano left hand alone, including an original Sonatina and arrangements of jazz standard, pieces for flute and piano, piano duet, viola and piano, and voice and flute.  Stay safe and well! News of the day- my new solo piano recording, “Welcome to My Dream,” interpretations of songs by Jimmy Van Heusen, Burton Lane, Frank Loesser and Richard Rodgers, will be available March 26th.

I’m happy to announce two gigs in November:

1. Sunday, November 14th the Neal Kirkwood Big Band will be performing at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, 7:30-10:30 pm, admission $20. The Brooklyn Conservatory is Park Slope, Brooklyn, 58 Seventh Ave (at Lincoln Pl.)  This concert is being presented by Connection Works.  Please RSVP to attend in person.  http://www.connectionworks.org/events
